Delegate Long seeks input from voters

  • 0

As a member of the Ways & Means Committee, I have been informed of all of the changes to our voting system as a result of COVID-19. This was a complex transition as we converted to mail-in ballots for the Presidential Primary. There was an opportunity to vote in person at four voting precincts throughout the county.

We understand that there were many different issues that appeared at those sites on Election Day.

We want to hear from constituents who voted on Election Day. What was your experience? Was there a long line? Were poll workers able to find your name when you checked in to vote? Were there enough workers at the voting centers? What recommendations would you suggest for November? I want to share your experiences with members of my committee.

We understand there are many voters that do not want to participate in mail-in ballot and want to only vote in person. If there are continued limited voting precincts as a result of COVID, we want to prepare to make for a better voting experience in November.

Please go my website at delegatelong.com and go to the “Election Day Input” tab in the right top corner or go to delegatelong.com/election-day-input and fill out a quick form on your experience.

If you do not have Internet access, you can call 410-841-3458 and leave a message about your voting experience and suggestions.
