I am thrilled to share details with you about a program that has been initiated by the wonderful people at our local Home Depot store, located at 6315 Eastern Avenue in Dundalk. This wonderful team of employees have come together with the common goal of taking care of the veterans and other civil servants in our neighborhoods by helping to complete projects around their homes.

On a recent visit to my office in Annapolis, the Store Manager, Steven Galliard, and the Pro Department Supervisor, Scott Tavegia, explained to me that they would be visiting the homes of qualifying program applicants to help repair or renovate certain trouble areas.

If you are a veteran who owns their home, but you need assistance in doing repairs that will keep your home safe, this may be the program for you.

Once an applicant applies through the Home Depot website, the team at the Dundalk store determines that the applicant is qualified, and then do a scheduled walk through of the person’s home. The team will then writea grant application, and then are given funds by the Team Depot Organization, whose focus is on giving back to the community.
