SPARROWS POINT — Just in time for summer, Tiki Lee’s Dock Bar in Sparrows Point is open for business! Hundreds of people crowded the new bar and restaurant each day of the Memorial Day weekend, with families, couples and boaters all marveling at the laid back atmosphere and delicious fare.
Tiki Lee’s management encouraged patrons to practice responsible reveling and use ride sharing services such as Uber and Lyft, as parking was overflowing due to the opening weekend crowds. Police were on hand to monitor parking in the surrounding neighborhood.
“Our family really enjoyed hanging out tonight,” said Lisa Baier Altomare, who brought her husband and two children on opening night. “Nice place! We look forward to coming back often.”
The team that opened a popular hotspot in Baltimore’s Canton neighborhood called Lee’s Pint and Shell opened the tiki-themed bar in Sparrows Point. Just a few years ago, the Canton corner spot was called Saute, but Lee’s Pint and Shell rebranded the haunt and its happy hours and block parties have become infamous with the in-crowd.
Tiki Lee’s is located at North Point Cove.
