Baltimore County Police are investigating a shooting that occurred outside of an Essex apartment complex last week that left one man injured.

Officers responded to a call of shots fired in 1100 block of Tace Drive, 21221 just after 5 p.m. on Thursday.

Responding officers located the victim, an adult man, suffering from a gunshot wound to the lower body. He was transported to an area hospital and is expected to survive his injuries.

The suspect(s) fled the scene prior to police arrival.

Detectives from the Baltimore County Police Violent Crimes Unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting and ask anyone who may have information to contact them by calling 410-307-2020.

Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward when submitting tips through Metro Crime Stoppers.

Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland, an organization that is separate from the Baltimore County Police Department and Baltimore County Government, offers rewards of up to $2000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges in connection with felony offenses.
