The Annual Northeast Art Show held at Kenwood High School on Thursday, April 25 highlighted the artistic achievements and creativity of students of all ages from area schools.

Students from Essex, Hawthorne, Mars Estates, Martin Boulevard, and Orems Elementary Schools and Middle River and Stemmers Run Middle Schools joined those from Kenwood to fill the auditorium with colorful, creative, and unique paintings, sketches, collages, and more. One table was filled with Chesapeake Bay habitats sculptures made from clay and ceramic glazes by third graders at Orems Elementary. Orems students also created clay birdbaths and paper birds as part of their environmental art lesson.

Visitors showed off their own creativity with art stations where they made construction paper monsters, painted their own mini masterpieces, got their face painted, and more. Live music and a photo booth also entertained the crowd.
