A recent graduate of Sparrows Point High was critically injured during a bizarre knife attack outside his Rosedale home on Saturday.

Cody Mulligan, 21, suffered multiple stab wounds to his upper body and was in critical condition as of Tuesday.

According to a police report, Mulligan had just walked out of his home when a man walking by began yelling at him.

The suspect then ran over to Mulligan and allegedly attacked him with a knife, stabbing him multiple times.

Marchsteiner was charged with attempted first-degree murder. He is held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on a no bail status pending a bail review hearing.

Mulligan and Marchsteiner live on the same block of Sumter Avenue. Officers are continuing the investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding this stabbing.
