Anyone concerned about themselves or a loved one overdosing on fentanyl, heroin or prescription pain medication is invited to participate in this training provided by the Baltimore County Department of Health. Learn what an opioid is, how to recognize, respond to and prevent an opioid overdose, and how to administer intra-nasal naloxone to reverse an overdose. Participants receive a certificate of completion and a kit containing the medication (naloxone is a prescription medicine that reverses an opioid overdose — it cannot be used to get high and it is not addictive). Registration required at baltimorecountymd.gov/odresponse or by calling 410-887-3828.
