MIDDLE RIVER — A 19-year-old and a 17-year-old were arrested in July after police found a car at an address in Dundalk which had allegedly been taken by force.
The car involved was registered to a woman who accompanied the man accused of carjacking, according to charging papers filed against Brandon W. Clark, 19, of Dundalk, who is accused of going with the woman, another man only known as “Rex,” and the 17-year-old boy to take the car.
Charging papers allege that on Friday evening, the 17-year-old boy assaulted D’Amontae Armstrong, the man who was driving the car, who used to live with the woman in Dundalk within the past month. Armstrong told officers he had purchased the car, but registered it in the woman’s name, and she had requested it back due to a broken window.
The 17-year old “struck [Armstrong] in the face and ‘slammed’ him to the ground” after asking for the key to the car, charging papers say, and then took the key, giving it to Clark, who allegedly drove away.
Police later found Clark driving in Oriole Road in Dundalk, near the Back River Wastewater Treatment Plant, after dropping off the 17-year-old there. The car involved was also found there, charging papers say.
Clark remains the only person charged as an adult in the incident. He is accused of carjacking, robbery, theft and unauthorized removal of a vehicle.
