Police responding to reports of shots fired on May 5 in Parkville found two people suffering from gunshot wounds, according to a Baltimore County police press release.

Medics transported them to an area hospital. Investigators believe all individuals involved have been identified and there is no threat to the community.

An off-duty police officer with the Maryland-National Capital Park Police, Montgomery County Division was involved in the shooting at the 1100 block of Deanwood Road; the officer was not injured.

This incident remains an active investigation, and once the investigation has ended, the case will be turned over to the Baltimore County State’s Attorney’s Office, police said.
