ROSEDALE — Tractor Supply Company, which describes itself as “the country’s largest rural lifestyle retailer.,” is opening a new store in Rosedale on July 24 at the site of a shuttered Mars Supermarket store. The new store, located at 9544 Philadelphia Road, is now one of 25 stores across the state and 1,944 stores that the company operates across the U.S.
Each Tractor Supply store provides pet and animal feed, fencing equipment, propane tanks, garden and home supplies and more, all from top brands, such as Purina, Carhartt, Blue Buffalo and Hobart. It is the company’s business strategy to provide a “one-stop shop” for farmers, ranchers, producers, homemakers and others.
“We consider ourselves a niche retailer,” acting manager Chris Seaberg said in an interview. “We sell anything for a rural, ‘out-here’ lifestyle.”
Seaberg said that the company is expanding its reach and analyzed a market opportunity in Rosedale. It has also provided opportunity to the area in employing 20 local workers.
“Our team members are respectful and friendly,” Seaberg said.
