ESSEX — I would like to express a heartfelt thanks to the community for its support of the Storm Victims at Essex Village Marlyn Gardens Apartments who were displaced after part of the building collapsed from the July 17th storm.

People dropped off canned goods, clothing, blankets, household items, toys, etc. at my District Office as a result of an article in The Avenue News. My Office made four trips to the Apartment Office to deliver the items.

My Office was told that the families appreciate the donations and no longer need any more items as they are rebuilding their lives. All of the families are safe and found other apartment units in the complex thanks to the Essex Village Marlyn Gardens Apartments Staff.

Thank you Essex for reaching out to help our neighbors in their time of need.
