Essex Farmers’ Market
Join the Chesapeake Gateway Chamber of Commerce at the Farmers’ Market in the heart of Essex! Overlea Farmers Market
Back for its seventh year, the Overlea Farmers Market will offer a variety of locally grown produce, crafts and more. It will be held 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. every two Saturdays from June 4 to Oct. 22 on the parking lot of the Natural History Society of Maryland at 6908 Belair Rd.

Middle River Volunteer Fire & Rescue Car Show
On Sept. 18 from noon to 4 p.m., Middle River Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company will host its first-ever car show, which will feature vendors, food trucks, a DJ, raffles and of course — a unique selection of cars, trucks and more.
The event is free to the public (all ages are welcome), open for all cars and trucks, and will be at Pooles Island Brewing Company at 11695 Crossroad Circle, Suite A in Middle River. Spectators are free but those who wish to display their car must pay a $20 registration fee or a $15 pre-registration fee.
